- The hiring process may create misleading expectations of career growth. The organizational direction seems unclear, and roles may feel more like freelancing.
- Caution advised with the recruiter's persuasive communication.
- Salary options in both EGP and USD, with USD being more popular. However, USD salaries lack tax benefits and regular perks. Negotiate gross salary for benefits and be prepared for personal tax responsibility.
- Workplace environment lacks overall satisfaction; pride is more in products than the workplace.
- Observed conflicts over contracts, salaries, and benefits upon joining. Infrequent salary increases, with some having the same salary for over two years.
- Onboarding is informal, requiring proactive requests for access and project information.
- Despite financial stability from significant seed funding, there's reliance on hiring from Egypt, potentially for cost-effective, short-term solutions.
Considering these observations, I've decided to leave the company upon securing another job.
