A meaningful place to work that has the same problems with "office politics" as any other large-ish bureaucracy

Pros

staff care about their jobs and the work they do; work is relatively easy, in the grand scheme of things; pay is decent; part-time jobs have benefits! vacation time, paid sick leave, etc

Cons

GRPL (as well as many other libraries) *relies* on part-time labor, and if you would like your PT job to be FT, too bad; tough job to get!
