Pros

Fun, when organised well. Always busy Varying roles Shift pattern consistency Lovely staff (at Marshall level) Great training Very staff minded.

Cons

Once the management realise a certain staff member is proficient in one area of park operation they are often forced to work that area consistently to the detriment of the staff member, resulting in hatred for the job, the management and the company. The pay is lower than average in the sector Stress levels are high due to poor organisation skills and constant understaffing Central call centre consistently make mistakes with bookings, double or even triple booking. Management have little/no time to deal with employee complaints or criticisms Supervisors are overworked and underpaid for their role

Pros

Competitive Salary for Business Development Role Industry

Cons

High turnover in management—had 3 different managers within just 3 months. Unrealistic expectations set without proper support or resources - no proper sales tracker, dated booking and CRM systems. Lack of industry knowledge—management had little to no understanding of the events industry. Prevalent finger-pointing culture, leading to a blame-oriented environment. Unprofessional and toxic work atmosphere, making it difficult to thrive. Absence of any company culture or social activities with the wider team. Role felt isolated and lonely, with minimal interaction or support from colleagues. If you're a BDM seeking a role in the events industry, avoid this company—it's fundamentally a leisure business, not event-focused.
