Pros

1. Casual and fun work environment 2. Work/Life balance ebbs and flows (instead of always having to work) 3. Very little travel involved for a consulting firm 4. Lots of nice people who work there

Cons

1. Having to navigate intense political dynamics in order to develop personally/professionally and get promoted (surprising for such a small company) 2. Having to tolerate some very weak leadership (i.e. domineering, incompetent and/or overworked leaders) 3. Risk of burning out quickly if not visibly incredibly passionate about CPG/Consumer Electronics/Retail/etc. innovation. 4. High degree of social and environmental stimulation makes it difficult for introverted employees to contribute meaningfully (and be productive) 5. Lots of cultural inconsistencies

Pros

There are many paths to forwarding your career that also facilitate personal growth. Gravity Tank encourages associates to make their interests known and to actively pursue them (when possible) within the context of client work. There is no formula to working here, the only requisites are open-mindedness, empathy, natural curiosity to learn and grow, and good personal drive. Gravity Tank also provides an internal mentorship program that allows both new and veteran employees to pair with a colleague a level up to set goals for personal growth and career advancement. At the end of the day, its clear that Gravity Tank cares about the happiness and well-being of its employees.

Cons

Because of the nature of front-end, conceptual consulting services, sometimes you don't get into as much of the implementation of details as you'd like. A lot of times you do though.

Pros

I started my career at gravitytank. In that time, I grew tremendously because of the access to willing, savvy mentors. In my experience, everyone was there to develop the next generation of the team. I believe in the leadership team - they truly act in the best interest of the health of the company and team. It felt like a family environment.

Cons

It's consulting - so projects can be consuming, hours long and pretty intense work environment. They also grew quickly in the past 5 years, so there are some adjustments needed as the culture of a bigger organization develops.
