Pros
Everyone you work with is extremely friendly and most will even try to get to know you (more than your name). I have worked in two different departments and both were amazing. I consistently work with other departments and they are just as friendly. I feel like I am always learning something new every day as well since science is ever-changing. When they have a paid exhibit, it gets busy and hours will increase if you work part time.
Cons
It is a not-for-profit company, so when it is slow, hours get cut for all part time employees. When kids are in school and we get 50 people per day during the week, the most hours given to part time employees is a Saturday or Sunday and some Fridays.
