They create the illusion of flexible hours.

Cons

The reality is that you can take the hours left blank by others, which top performers often do, since as a newcomer, you can only claim what's available. But the reality is that you can work the hours others left in blank, what the top performers leave because since you are starting you are only entitled to get what's is left.
