The Worst People I've Ever Encountered

I really can't think of one single good thing that I took away from this company. I sincerely regret ever accepting the position.

Cons

Run by a family that is vocally baptist, racist, sexist, Republican. The entire operation is unprofessional and chaotic. CEO Pay Full time - yet they offer no benefits Requesting time off is like pulling teeth "On-call" - where they expect you to work 24/7 for a week straight and still only pay you for a flat 40 hours Waking up at all hours of the night to deal with issues and still being expected to show up on time the next day The co-workers - vocally racist, sexist, voice their political opinions in the middle of morning meetings. No room for advancement due to it being completely family run Expectations are absurd for the pay Co-workers - Literally the worst people I've ever encountered

Good pay and good home time, but no set runs/days off. Scratch their backs and they scratch yours.

Pros

Decent pay, most runs home same day. Layover runs back next day for our operation. Mostly new fleet of trucks, decently maintained. Many runs are little to no touch. Detention pay after two hours for store deliveries and backhauls. Stop pay plus mileage pay. Motels paid if you are in a daycab.

Cons

No bid process for runs. You don't know what you are doing the next day until dispatch calls. Many runs are driver assist, either by operating a pallet jack, or pushing while the customer operates pallet jack. Some runs are good, some are hardly worth the commute to the warehouse. Trucks are governed at 62-63 mph. Runs fluctuate when business slows, which is good if you want another day off, but bad if you want to run hard.

The only Pros is when senior management stays away from the Plant

1. Expected hours are WAY TOO LONG. 2. Shift Supervisors are told to make it happen for production but make any decisions unless we check with managment 3. Shift Supervisors are expected to work 14-16 hours a day 4. When asked for a day off, was chastised for not being a "TEAM PLAYER" 5. The performanc improvment plan is a tool to be fired, not a tool for improving
