Pros

Nothing. This job is a total scam.

Cons

You work for free. You drive to customer's homes, you do the inspection, you write the proposal, you have to meet with realtors/roofers/contractors/etc., and you have to answer phone calls nonstop. If none of these end up in a sale, guess what? YOU DON'T GET PAID. This "job" is a pyramid scheme plain and simple. The pay structure is so sketchy: you get a "draw" of $2300/mo. that you have to pay back via sales, which is based on an 8% commission. You have to sell ~33k/mo. to finally make commission, which is unheard of, especially when this company overcharges for remediation work like crazy. You will not sell anything unless you are unscrupulous and sell people crap they don't need. They expect their employees to subsidize their business. Most of the financial risk is borne on the employee. This is specific to the Mt. Airy, MD location I don't know about other franchises, but if you're courting this job MAKE SURE YOU GET A SALARY + COMMISSION NOT A "DRAW".

Pros

Great place to start an IAQ career, learn building science, learn about mold & how it affects a home and person.

Cons

For a "career" and something life-long, not the place to be. The company is very money money money thinking, and doesn`t think much about the employees. While it is franchise and independently owned and operated, both corporate and the independent owners don`t have much care for the actual people doing the work. They look for ways to cut costs costly to earn a buck in their own pockets. They don`t listen to employees when they voice concerns or simple things that would make them happy which, would increase productivity and increase sales. They also do send people into the lions den with little to no training, expecting them to be successful off the bat and then get upset when the employee fails or makes a mistake. Most of the franchise owners refuse to admit their mistakes, and always look for scape-goats.
