Pros
The staff I work with on a day to day business are fantastic and make the work bearable.
Cons
Treatment and neglect of staff is an ongoing and continuous issue where we have to endure freezing temperatures in the winter without any heaters provided. It has recently been -5 in the warehouse and nothing was done to ensure or check on staff wellbeing. In summer, temperatures can reach above 30 degrees in the warehouse. Chairs is a no even if you’re in a permanent standing position for 7.5 hours a day for a desk that is at seated height. Staff are constantly undermined and treated unfairly and are expected to go above and beyond for a company that doesn’t care about them. In the opening of the new warehouse, an attempt was made to stop any bottled drinks (cans or sealed) being allowed into the warehouse and only allowed to drink during lunch breaks even though managers are sent to leaving mugs of hot drinks in the warehouse when walking around. Overtime payments are also liable to be delayed making staff never want to work any overtime to help out the company during busy times. Office staff are constantly seen to be treated far better than the warehouse staff causing a high level of staff turnover and consistent need to be training new staff.
