Pros

I'm only writing ta Pro because Glassdoor says we have to write a 20 word minimum.. We do at least get a paycheck on time. Barely sometimes we do get it

Cons

To Anyone seeking Employment please Beware of this Company. This is not Team playing company nor having any growing pains. That could be farther than the truth. I love the responses about growing pains. Greenbox formed 11/2000. Look it up on the NMLS consumer website some still live in the past life from The mortgage store days. To the new employees slightly interested in working for Greenbox you should look up the mortgage store on mortgage implode and Google the mortgage store and you will see the multiple lawsuits. All we hear is The mortgage store this and that. After reading the reviews on the mortgage store you will know why the name is Greenbox instead of the mortgage store. Don't let no one who rebuts this response blame the mortgage store on the previous market crash. The market crashed because of lenders like the mortgage store. previous responses state where (some does the hiring and firing that is farther from the truth because (owner) is the one who says who is hired and who is fired. Greenbox does have you take a allregs class and he wants you to listen to a recorded session from him. previous reviews states they let people come and go because they do a lot of house cleaning. That's not true either because of the majority of the people quit. People do get fired when they find out the truth on things that happening behind the scenes. They allow the closers to alter loan document, approvals and CDs after closing. (Owner) was questioned why does he allow that to happen and he says they do what they have to do to get the funds wired from the warehouse. If you are a loan officer and can put up with a great deal of stress this place is perfect for you to work. They allow loans to go to closing without final underwriting approval The closing dept are not mortgage underwriters and most of the time don't even know how to cure a post closing problem. It comes back at fault of the underwriters. Green box lost a lot of great underwriters. The majority of the underwriters that left- left because of the closing department being able to modify the underwriters approvals. You are not protected He has loyalties to others because they have been with him from mortgage store days 3-4 ladies only. we know why the loyalties. More than work. Greenbox is not FHA approved. They tried to blame the underwriter because of being sick. Wrong. FHA denied them and they lost the appeal from FHA to. Greenbox has to broker the FHA loans out to be underwritten. Greenbox is not Fannie and Freddie direct approved. The loans are closed in Greenbox name and then sent for review prior to purchase. It's ok,, don't care because GB wants to be Non QM biggest lender. limited on his non QM lenders. Verus and Deephaven. Deephaven underwrites the loan because of the past relationship with them. Those positive reviews are coming from management asking for employees to write some positive reviews to out weigh the negatives. That is a FACT. Someone said that wasn't true in a previous review. Dont believe please.

Hello "Not Mad Employee" thank you very much for your response, quite a bit of information, perhaps it would be better if you were to email me and/or better walk over to my office and let's talk. We can cover each of your areas in detail. Some areas may possibly be confidential, as employees are not privy to all issues that occur nor are they aware of the WHY. Please do not stay angry - just walk over and let's talk. You know who I am. If readers from the outside are reading this which I am certain you are, please call me directly to discuss, I do not mind. Thank you. Thank you for your honest and heartfelt comment. I am very sorry your experience was so very negative. As you know: we are small, we are growing and of course are experiencing 'growing pains', all of our operations staff are in the process of learning new guidelines, and during this process of training, learning and growing sometimes people feel unappreciated. Please know that ALL of our employees are the Life Blood of our company. When they work hard, we move forward, we grow. Our president/owner is an individual that not only is broad minded, but honest and fair, he has an Open Door Policy. Call me, please maybe we can perhaps discuss openly and honestly. I don't mind. Thank you for your comment. Diana Macias, 213 215 8480

Pros

There is honestly no pros to this company. They are so desperate to hire anyone due to their turn over rate.

Cons

Very unprofessional and uneducated staff. Everything is so unorganized including the hiring process. They are so desperate they will send you an employment offer letter and harass you to sign it and send back within minutes. Stay away from this company and do not waste your time.
