Unfortunately, my experience working at the Princeton Greene Street location was overwhelmingly negative and toxic. The store manager created a hostile and controlling atmosphere that made it difficult to feel supported or respected as an employee. Favoritism was common, and professional boundaries were often ignored. When I gave notice for leaving due to graduating college for an internship, this professional growth was met with guilt-tripping and blame. It was extremely disheartening and hurtful when the store manager knew, even when I gave notice of 2 weeks appropriately and she still belittled me for putting in a 2 week notice. Public belittling and negative talk about other team members happened frequently, it made the workplace extremely uncomfortable working, contributing to an overall toxic culture. While I initially had hope for the role after reading negative reviews beforehand, it became clear over time that this was not a healthy or respectful workplace. The store manager doesn’t want employees to have other career aspirations besides working for her. So if you wouldn’t like that, I would not recommend working here.
