Employees aren't getting respect from Management

Pros

- Opportunity to work on cutting edge products - Growing and exciting space to be in - Sort of startup feel, with backing from big company

Cons

- Lack of transparency and plenty of bureaucracy - Lack of a culture, people are competitive with each other instead of colloborative - People are constantly caught up in fighting for control, when they fail to see how to get to the end result - Upper management are mainly white males, needs more women and minorities in management - Minorities don't really gain a whole lot of respect here

- decent salary - great technical potential - lots of work to do (mostly firefighting though) - very flexible work rules and schedules

Cons

- executive leadership is either clueless or maliciously incompetent - the product simply doesn't work very well - the corporate culture is toxic filled with politics, cronyism, nepotism, and demoralized workers

- Nice first floor - Wednesday hot lunches and pizza 2x a week - Middle and lower management very competent and tallented - Good work/home balance

Cons

- Toxic culture at all levels from administrative to upper management * They compete with each other instead of working together * Too busy fighting for control instead of working together * Good old boys club mentality - Upper management are mainly white males - Minorities don't really gain a whole lot of respect here - Legacy employees treat the new ones differently - they are not old GP and never will fit in - Seemingly sales and marketing focused with limited attention to engineering * Engineering had 1 administrative assistant for 2 years to cover 5 suites and over 100 people * Small cubes with limited privacy * upgraded look and feel to sales/marketing area but not engineering - note the pictures are not where the bulk of the organization was!
