Foolishly even after reading the reviews for this company I still ended up applying as the pay for the role was pretty decent (£24k) rising to £27k after a three month period and jumping through some near impossible hoops.
Culturally, this is the worse company I've ever worked for. The staff are absolute terrified by senior management and the main boss/bosses are even worse, some staff try not to breath too loudly when they walk by.
The training staff are pretty incompetent and bar one or two and the training manager is probably even worse. Gives the fakest of smiles to everyone as she walks by but has no real interest of the well being of her staff and those they train. The Team managers are even worse and you are rushed into speaking to the customers even without adequate training.
When i joined they had recently taken over Harrington Brooks which was based in Sale. They had no intention of keeping the HB staff but had to as it was the only way they would get the HB customers. Surprising a lot of the HB staff was let go.
The parking is based off site about a 20 min walk away however they do have a unreliable bus service which is always jam packed, if you miss it and you're late (even after waiting 30mins at the car park) you're threatened by dismissal and advised "you may need to look else where for work"
Some of my fellow colleagues were nice, but nobody had the guts to speak up about the way the company treated people.
Worked there for 6 months as a debt review specialist, never got around to speak to one customer about their debt due to slow pace of training. Had to hand in my notice as it was the worse place I'd ever worked.
In short,
-Unbelievably cliquey place
-Poor Management
-Horrible bullying culture
-Extortionate Canteen
-No genuine regard for vulnerable customers
Save yourselves and don't even bother applying
