Pros

Free coffee and food (although I don't indulge too much, I still want to like the place)

Cons

While it's great they promote from within, I see right through the cracks that will be the company's pitfall as they expand. Young pups in management/asst management and training roles that lack experience (one trainer likes to use the F-word alot). I highly recommend they seek training in leadership and business etiquette. The other baristas and asst managers also lack patience for the new people and tend to interfere with the training process. Stay in your lane and let the new people learn the right way to do things. The writing on the cups....unoriginal and getting told every 10 seconds that I wrote Something incorrectly (you know what it means, don't waste the 10 seconds you could have invested in the drink to tell me it's wrong.) If you're not sure what it is, then seek clarification. But don't yell at me in front of a customer about it. Again, unprofessional. I spent more time cleaning and taking out trash than actually learning anything related to making coffee. Again, interjection from other baristas about cleaning only to get scolded by management because I did something wrong or didn't do it fast enough. It got to the point I just started asking if I should use my right hand or my left to wipe the counter. I was told in the interview there were 3 defined shifts, but in actuality, the shifts are all over the place so I end up taking a break after 2 hours, and have to go without eating for 5 more. Not healthy. I also agree with the previous review, there tends to be cliques among the folks who have been there a long time, especially with the assistant managers and peers. I definitely felt the shade from day one and some instances of sabotage. Haters gonna hate.... *shrug* this is not my career, it's not that serious. Overall, the tone of these coffee shops screams micromanagement from the top. For such a simple job, there's too many steps to get to the end it's too easy for me to trip.

Pros

•When I first started with Gregorys Coffee the company was family oriented, Greg was hands on, everyone enjoyed working for the company. •Free coffee •Free pastries •Opportunity to grow • Good tips depending on location

Cons

• Company plays favoritism and they tend to favorite ethnicities other then minorities. • Hire ups don’t know what they’re doing. Which leads to terrible coffee knowledge. • Care more about customers opinions then their employees. • A lot of health department violations due to poor training.

Pros

Flexible hours. Not really a job so u can pick it up and put it down whenever you please.

Cons

Managers and corporate always pick favorite's. If you aren't part of a circle don't expect to get anywhere or be anyone. Managers hire friends. And the kiss ups get promoted even with no qualification. PAY IS OK. Manager pay is below average and you only see benefits as an asm or above.
