Pros

Great co-workers and manager at our location.

Cons

Pay is just so-so. Not enough to pay bills/cost of living on my own. GVG is owned by Eye Care Partners. ECP only cares about the money coming in. They have taken away employee benefits. They don't care about the employees. If it weren't for the manager and district managers, this company definitely would not be worth working for. PTO absolutely sucks. It takes 160 hours to less than one day off of PTO. Forget taking an actual vacation. Your PTO will cover a few medical appointments, maybe actually being sick and then for holidays that the office is closed but it's not considered part of the holiday pay.

Pros

Easy interview Alright pay for the work

Cons

Incredibly poor training, very little of the moment-to-moment work is explained while you are learning Bizarrely inconsistent work expectations, especially between locations and even including whether insurance was pulled/updated and when patients paid their bills for an encounter Absolutely toxic management that is straight up discriminatory (and engages in absolutely disgusting and inappropriate conversations right behind the front desk) while having the thinnest skin imaginable, but nothing will be done because they are shielded by their friends in higher places Offers no help/assistance/guidelines to newer employees while trying to serve patients when they are still learning There are well-known and established problems with certain employees that lead to constant turnover and poaching from other locations If you bring up a specific issue you are having to other coordinators, techs and even doctors, they will already know the person or persons that you are talking about
