Pros

Free snacks in the office, quick commute, nice coworkers, truly unbelievable stories to tell your friends and will make any future job a breeze.

Cons

PLEASE DO NOTE: the good reviews here are usually written against their will. Gretchen (the owner) obsesses over this website. Instead of treating people better and learning from the reviews, she rolls her eyes and blames it on "lazy millennial work-ethic". The only reason I am writing a review is because I want other people to be forewarned and not fall for the fake ones. Everything you do for the company will not be good enough. The owner's aesthetic is very confusing and any innovative ideas will be shot down. You will be patronized for not knowing every historical reference that she knows and will be made to wear many hats and not compensated. If something you create is actually approved by her she will take all the credit. You are truly set up to fail, just to make the owner feel good about herself. There are no designated teams, everyone works for themselves and answers directly to the owners. There is absolutely no job security - you can and will be fired at the drop of a hat. People are known to not show up at their second day (once they catch wind of the real situation). I did leave on my own turns but saw plenty of my employees fired and quit during screaming matches. I could go on for days but just read the other negative reviews, they capture the essence in a nutshell...

Pros

Masochist's Dream - If you truly hate yourself and take pleasure in being abused over insignificant minutia, this is the place for you. You will develop a wartime-like bond with your co-workers, as you suffer and survive each day's assault on your intelligence, skill, and personality. No need for professionalism or propriety. Weekly lunch appears generous at first, until you realize it is simply a self-aggrandizing venue through which management can berate employees publicly. Office is close to the train.

Cons

Every day is a nightmare. The wannabe Anna Wintour is a true horror to be around, and every day you trade a portion of your soul for a meager piece of cash. Workplace hazards abound, with illegally tight walkways and freshly deposited cigarette ash a common sight. You are expected to worship management and profusely thank them for your job, or you're deemed "ungrateful" and given extra hours and impossible tasks. More often than not, employees are treated as personal labor, and brought from the place of employment to one person's home to perform menial labor and cleaning. Parking can be difficult in winter.
