Thank you for taking the time share your personal experience working at Grosvenor. It is wonderful that you appreciated the flexibility and work life balance Grosvenor offers all staff. As a former Associate Director, you played a part in creating this environment so that staff can have rewarding and intellectually stimulating careers, as well as a life that meets their personal needs.
As a growing firm, we’re continuing to work with staff to ensure our management model is sustainable in recognising talent and providing a variety of career pathways and opportunities for growth, for both our consultants and our support staff. Our turnover rate is at industry-leading low levels, and we've also got a few boomerangs - our nickname for the employees who have left and returned to Grosvenor.
We benchmark our remuneration against the market and for more than 90% of our workforce, we pay at or above industry levels. For our very senior staff, we have elected not to pay what we consider to be disportionately large salaries that some of our competitors are known to pay their leaders. While our very senior staff remuneration is still generous, we believe redistributing funds that would otherwise just increase our top salary-earners income even more across the company is a more sustainable and fair approach to running our business. Together with refusing to work our team as hard as some of our competitors are known to do, we believe we have the balance right here, but appreciate that not everyone will share this view.
