Positive graduate experience with good development opportunities within the company
Pros
Strong environment for graduates. In my role, I had exposure to the full product lifecycle despite joining as a grad fresh out of university, They provide you full autonomy to manage a portfolio which provided valuable hands-on experience across different stages of product management. The level of support and development opportunities can vary by manager but personally I had a very positive experience with mentorship and growth, my manager supported, listened to feedback and helped career progression. The people are a major highlight of the company culture. Colleagues are approachable, supportive, and it’s easy to build meaningful long-term relationships. There is also a genuine openness to feedback, with opportunities to contribute ideas, improve processes, and have ownership over initiatives. You are given exposure to senior stakeholders through participation in larger meetings, even at junior level. which pushes you to grow. Company benefits are good, including subsidised lunches, private healthcare and dental coverage and opportunities for business travel, The office is new and modern with plenty of parking and surrounded by green space - a lot of colleagues would take walks around the area during lunch or just to take a break. The past year the company has a strong focus on embracing AI and emerging technologies to improve process and reduce time spent on certain tasks.
Cons
Overall, I had a very positive experience and found relatively few downsides during my time here. As with many organisations, processes can sometimes be vague or slower due to multiple stakeholders and approval layers, but as mentioned in my pros, if you have ideas to improve ways of working - it is taken on board.
