Pros

The community of writers and authors is supportive and inspiring, and the staff and instructors are particularly devoted to their students. It's great to work supporting an artistic community and see writers grow and publish.

Cons

The top leadership can be disorganized and doesn't manage people well. Expect moving goalposts, indecisiveness, and defensiveness/pushback if you seek clarity or advocate for yourself. Getting a promotion is really hard, and can take years of proving yourself. They do not budget for raises and getting one will be extremely difficult.

Pros

free writing classes, friendly coworkers.

Cons

Pay is low. As a co-op, you won't receive sick time, but you're expected to work full time, so sometimes you just come in sick and receive bad looks.
