Idea that could make a difference if executed properly

Management was not good at tech, leadership, or business. We did not have any new sales during my time there, and we mostly wasted time on an awfully designed system that the current customers didn't use. The CTO insisted on continuing to duct tape this together rather than consider starting over with something usable. Work life balance was also quite terrible.
