Pros

The dogs are the only good part.

Cons

The way the dogs are treated and how they are improperly bred(glorified backyard breeders). These dogs live outside full time in FLORIDA, which people do. But claiming to be some high esteemed better than everyone else and treating the dogs the way they do is downright wrong. These dogs receive improper training before given to veterans and when the veterans start having problems they'll take the dog back. The work environment here is by far the worst thing I've ever experienced. I had panic attacks on the daily from the constant walking on eggshells. and when they say you've done something wrong they won't talk to you, they will SCREAM and I mean SCREAM at you. They claim to get rescue dogs, try maybe 1. They've had accidental mixed breed litters because they don't pay attention or care. There is no health standard amongst the dogs, they all have some sort of issue which they will blame on everything except for themselves. the CEO and COO are the most condescending, rude and despicable people with a narcisstic complex. I have never been talked down too the way they do. They brag about having over 100 dogs on property(4-6 dogs a kennel). If you care for your mental health at all, I recommend going the other way

Pros

Getting to handle the dogs, get them out of their kennels and actually give them some positive attention!

Cons

I literally don’t have enough time or words to explain how absolutely horrific & horrible this place is! And it’s all because of the ‘so called’ management team, which is a complete joke! The founder, CEO & COO seem great during your interview & hiring process. Because everything they tell you is either outright lies and/or is not what they told you to begin with! It’s really disappointing and sad, because their mission sounds great, Until it never happens! The dogs ended being poorly bread, poor living conditions and they do zero work with rescue dogs, even though you are told that they do! And it amazes me how they have to pay people to write good reviews on job platforms to try & get higher ratings! Especially because they are always hiring due to their 100% turnover rate! Just take a look at their website every couple months, you will see that they maybe have one employee that has stayed longer than 3 months. I honestly feel very badly for the dogs that are stuck there and for any new, good intentioned employee.

Pros

Good mission, cute dogs, I wish there were more to add

Cons

There are so many things I could say about why you should really consider working at this organization. Unfortunately the mission suffers at the hand of leadership. The leadership will also never change, as the CEO is the founder. I have never been treated so unprofessionally or felt as anxious in a position as I did at this organization. I would have anxiety attacks daily on the way to work (this is strangely a common experience as previous coworkers have told me the same). You are at the will of the COOs mood that day, so that will either mean you will receive a million compliments that day or she may scream at a room of employees (and I mean actually scream). While the mission is great, it is poorly executed with veteran waiting years on a waitlist for a dog and placement numbers being inflated. Pairings are few and far between, partially because they can’t keep employees on staff. During your interview you will be wowed and promised a million things that will make you excited to start. This may even include a promise of raises at 90 days and then having that completely forgotten about. They preach about growth, promising there’s a new location opening soon so there’s so much opportunity. They have been saying that for almost 10 years, there is no other location. The turn over is also so high, they wouldn’t be able to staff that location if they wanted to. Just be extremely weary, if you check the staff page, there are new faces weekly. That is for a reason.
