Pros

The pay and benefits are good. Location is in the city of Chicago which is rare.

Cons

Terrible culture, built on fear. Micromanagement at its finest. Ownership is involved in far too many of the details and decision making is stagnated waiting on the owner to make a decision. Employees are not empowered to make decisions. Completely resistant to change or new ideas.

Pros

The company is run by a wealthy generational family and has grandfathered in certain operations that would now be not allowed in Chicago. This provides an opportune edge for the company.

Cons

The company is very resistant to change and struggles to keep new talent. The tenure employees of 10+ years essentially run the company and leave little to no room for new members to have creative ideas. The culture is not welcoming or helpful, it's more like swim or drown.
