Pros

It's a job that pays you on time.

Cons

Run like an old boys club, that embraces a culture of disrespect to its employees and never fails to disappoint when management has the opportunity to show integrity. A bottom-feeding hospitality company that tests to see just how low of an experience they can provide their employees and customers while still filling their pockets.

Mediocrity at its Finest

Pros

Great work life balance and plenty of autonomy.

Cons

No accountability which allows for mediocrity. All employees just clock in and out early just waiting to collect their pension. Executives are asleep at the wheel and nickel and dime employees. Look at the corporate office - stains on the carpet and the cafeteria is out of the 80s! How do you think they manage their properties?

Pros

My teammates were always helpful, responsive, and intelligent.

Cons

I wish I’d paid attention to the negative reviews online. Don’t make the mistake I made. GSI has issues from the top down with outdated, sexist, and non-compliant policies, as most of the directors on staff are simply those who can outlast the abuse rather than individuals with actual skill or merit. Managers will take credit for your successes and quickly throw you under the bus for their own mistakes to look good to their superiors, who do the same in turn. New hires tend to be fresh from college not because they bring fresh ideas to the table but because they’re unfamiliar with what constitutes a safe, sane, and non-exploitative environment. Fortunately most tend to catch on quickly that they’re being mistreated, which leads to high turn-over.
