Pros

There is absolutely nothing good about this company.

Cons

It's a subsidiary of United Health Services (google their scandals), and this place falls in line with the worst of them. Administration flat out lies--especially the HR director. Be sure to get everything in writing. Critically dangerous under-staffing and such horrible work conditions mean that almost no one comes in. They staff only by the number of patients and never account for acuity or possible call-in, even during flu season. This place is dangerous for workers, but even more so for patients. There are several incidents of both patient and staff injuries, some of them criminal in nature, and yet nothing changes. The turnover is VERY HIGH. Nurses are afraid of losing their licenses, and several people have quit during or after orientation when they get a look at the "real world" of GBH. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for employment, much less treatment.

Unsafe staffing...

Pros

There weren’t any I could see.

Cons

Approached in a bullying manner by the director of nursing when I informed the MD of a pt’s behavior and received an order for 1:1 status. She informed me she didn’t have any staff to work. No, she could have someone work overtime but UHS is cheap, they would rather something happen and blame it on the nurse. When the MD was asked By the director to cancel The order she said no. I quit soon after this as now I was on the director’s poop list. I did right by my patient and I’d do it again. If all companies ran this way I would not still be in this field!!!
