Pros

Some of the people, such as: AC's, former employees, and managers, are very nice. You'll learn how to work with companies from India and understand a new business culture. Relaxed office environment.

Cons

Where to begin? The most obvious is the lack of professionalism in the Human Resources Dept. HR is a joke, at best. Human Resources will constantly call at all hours and ask team members to spy on others, making the environment very toxic. HR is also very abusive, not only verbally, but physically. HR has been known to tell employees to " shut up" and has even slapped one employee across the face at a team outing. ( Can you say liability?) The CEO is a smart man, who claims Gutenberg is a global agency when in reality it is, sadly, a one person office or freelancer in random geographies with the exception of India, and the US. Compensation is poor and promotions are sometimes given in title and duties without any or (delayed for months) monetary compensation .

Pros

Nothing I can think of. Maybe the fact you can come dressed however you want. Or maybe that you can come in whenever you want.

Cons

Where to begin there are so many cons. 1, Senior management has no idea how to run an office outside of India. They assume what you do in India is how business works in elsewhere. 2. They hire people with no experience. As long as you sound like you are saying something and use big buzz words they will hire you. 3. They put the Peter Principle into action. Bring in people who have no competence in the position they are filling. 4. They do not listen to what is happening in the field. Their usual phrase is to give it time. 5. They have a vision they cannot execute against. All words no action. 6. The office cannot support itself. In fact, there is only one or two active accounts in NY. 7. Cookie-cutter responses to client requests. 8. Some key senior management has left the company in the last 5 months. 9. They give out big titles for those with no experience to support those titles. 10. A total lack of professionalism.
