Pros

- Free game tickets - Can become close friends with co-workers - Philly is cheap to live in, so the low salary is fine if you can afford it. - This is a good job if you accept it for what it is. Recognize that the chance of you lasting more than one year are incredibly slim. If you start with 15 people, 3-4 might last a year. It can be fun, but you also sort of feel like you're being taken advantage of. For some people, the experience will be worth it. For others, it won't

Cons

- Low pay. I think it's been raised since I left, but starting salary for me was $18000 plus commission/bonuses. They sort of pulled the bait and switch and got people excited about working for the sixers, but I primarily sold New Jersey Devils tickets. Which, if you don't know much about hockey, is not an easy sell. - Micro-management to the extreme. Your day is very closely monitored, they watch when you are on the phone, listen in on your calls, track how many calls and emails you've sent throughout the day, etc. They'll reward you if you hit these numbers, and put you on review if you don't. - Sales department is VERY disconnected from the rest of the company. Required to wear shirt and tie in the office in the name of professionalism, while every other department dresses casually and performs their jobs fine. It's infantilizing. WFH probably changes that. - Frat bro culture in the sales department unfortunately. I didn't feel this way with the rest of the company, but sales was especially brutal. - Women lead the company at the highest levels, but that doesn't trickle down to sales management. It felt like managers couldn't even relate to women professionally whatsoever. - Managers over-involved in sales associates' personal drama
