      It was a valuable opportunity to gain more professional experience in the fields of Web Design and Graphic Design.

      Pros

      HCDI is located about a half and hour's drive from downtown, Washington, DC, in a little known city called Lanham, in the state of Maryland. When driving to work from Prince George's County, or from Alexandria, Virginia, one drives in the opposite direction as the traffic is moving in, avoiding the annoyance of driving bumper-to-bumper, in stop and go motion. HCDI also has many friendly people that work there, that you might enjoy doing a cup of coffee, or lunch with.

      Cons

      If you have to spend your work days at a desk, such as when you work with web design, you might feel a little left out, as most of the jobs at HCDI are very people oriented.

      Pros

      The disorganization, dysfunction and chaotic work environment propel you to quickly seek alternative employment

      Cons

      Words do not do justice to the unfortunate climate of this organization. If I could give anyone advice it would be to turn away from this company's doors as quickly as they can (including the contract awardees). I closer investigation into their infrastructure and staffing matrix will quickly reveal that they are a sham. It is unfortunate that the President attempts to recruit top industry talent to foster her contract deception.

      Awesome Community Programs that assist with many community efforts.

      Cons

      Leadership needs new skills all around. Working hard and backwards due to lack of knowledge, will power, confidence and experience. Leadership and Management make easy jobs much harder than they has to be.
