Pros
For a small local CPA firm, there is quite a range of clientele and projects, so you can get a decent work experience.
Cons
There's lack of planning and communication. Partners are not cohesive in procedures, leading to confusion and frustrations. Lack of planning results in longer hours in the end to complete projects for deadlines. Compensation awarded needs to be more based on merit and current market rates. For those that do work hard are penalized in annual increases because too much was earned in overtime. Work life balance and morale could be improved.
