Pros
I am eternally grateful for the experience I had working for HOPE International for almost five years. I departed to pursue a mid-career shift that involves additional education and apprenticeship requirements. I echo the pros in prior reviews.
If one has eyes to see, there are incredible learning opportunities not only with U.S.-based staff, but international staff. I had a great team and manager who supported me in my role and as a person.
As an African-American female who did not grow up with a silver spoon and worked in diversity and inclusion initiatives at another organization, I'd like to address comments around DEI in previous reviews.
First, there is an epidemic of false teaching in that area, particularly in the past 10 years, and many are being deceived. A great book to get the facts straight is "One Race One Blood: The Biblical Answer to Racism" by Ken Ham. Second, anyone seriously concerned about DEI should start first by broadening and deepening *their own* personal/professional networks.
I was treated with the upmost God-given dignity at HOPE. Never once did I feel excluded or not heard, seen, and known. The Leadership Summits were a taste of Heaven on Earth.
Cons
None, blessed with good provision in many ways.
