Habitude suffers from ineffective management and HR oversight, led by ownership that appears emotionally reactive and disconnected from daily operations. Promises made during recruitment were routinely broken, facilities deteriorated, and financial mismanagement was evident. The salon experienced extremely high turnover, inconsistent policy enforcement, and a culture of constant write-ups affecting nearly all staff.
Compensation was significantly misrepresented; advertised pay was far from reality, and I personally witnessed 25-year veteran stylists earning only minimum wage plus tips. Any clientele built and retained at this location is unlikely to follow a stylist elsewhere, as the salon is primarily seen as a convenient location rather than a destination.
The break room is disgusting, the facilities are outdated, the business model is outdated.
