Pros

You work by yourself with no boss around so when you are criticized it isn't directly and you can make your own schedule, you just might be working all day everyday to get it done though and are never appreciated for it.

Cons

Credits ruin your check. Management will blame things on you. You work commission so never know what your getting paid and the management is not experienced with the stores their dealing with leaving you feeling like you know more then them and they don't understand. Customer will always come first in every situation affecting you. Not worth the sweat or headache in my opinion.

Pros

Work at your own pace, worked independently, set your own hours as along work was done. Make your own orders.

Cons

No Base Pay, very seasonal so pay is not good in summer time when people are away from your main accounts. Very busy in Fall and not much merchandising help when it is very busy. Not much vacation time. Use personal vehicle with no car allowance.

Pros

Decent medical/dental insurance and good 401K matching rate. Unlike many food brokers, they have not yet begun to track sales and reset staff by GPS. Better than collecting unemployment.

Cons

Privately owned with nepotism apparent. Low pay and no raises given ever - the rate you are hired at is the rate you stay at. No reimbursement of mileage or gas cost so you are subsidizing the company. Upper level management and administrative positions appear to make out better. Sales staff paid on commission and senior sales people assigned to the highest volume stores. Poor middle managers.
