I’m writing this review because I noticed they are hiring again. That’s pretty soon, after having the nerve to ask 35% of the company to leave without any financial leverage or proper legal workforce reduction procedures. All these happened after “a series of unfortunate events”, because of them facing some financial challenges. Yes, again, they asked older employees to sign their resignation without following the legal workforce reduction procedure. They basically forced lots of employees to resign, without closing those positions. Some have been with them for years. They also ditched the fresh employees (under 3 months) without any notice, simply because the law allows it. Those people were left without a job or a source of income starting from the very next day. How fun must that have been? The cherry on the cake was how they handled the situation of the employees that were about to start working at Halcyon Mobile. We are talking about people that quit stable jobs to start working for them. They were announced that they no longer had the job, although some even signed their contract. If that’s not anyone’s biggest fear when switching jobs, I don’t know what it is. I can truly state that the management is, mostly, clueless. Some have 0 people skills, others have little to no expertise, and some are there because nepotism and favoritism–and yes, it shows. Did I mention there’s also a situation going on with the company mostly hiring Hungarians? Guess who they fired first (I’ll spare you the time, it was mostly Romanians). Do yourself a service and stay away from this company. To me, the entire experience was a major disappointment. I still believe they should be accountable for screwing over so many people.
