Pros

repetitive job, not that hard to do.

Cons

Feels like high school. Management doesn’t care about who works well just who there friends with. Everything is blamed on Operations and never engineering

Pros

This is one of the simplest and most repetitive jobs out there. While there is a basic skills test involved, the tasks themselves are straightforward and easy enough for almost anyone to handle with minimal effort. It's a great option for someone looking for their first job or just a part-time role to stay occupied.

Cons

If you enjoy a workplace that feels like high school, this might be the place for you. Supervisors and coworkers tend to only engage with people they personally like, and cliques are very common. The environment is filled with gossip and a lack of professionalism. There are minimal opportunities for growth, no cross-training, and the job postings can be misleading. If you're scheduled outside of the early morning shifts, you’ll likely miss out on company updates and any team celebrations—you’ll often be left out entirely. At $16 an hour, the experience isn’t worth it, especially considering all the jobs were previously advertised around $18–$19 per hour for all operator roles. Paid breaks were also taken away and replaced with occasional "happy hour" events, which feel like a poor trade-off. Overall, this job isn't ideal unless you want to keep your head down and be ignored—unless you're part of the in-crowd. Classic corporate America.

Great Place to Work

Pros

I did read the negative Glassdoor reviews during my interview process with Handwrytten, so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. But I'm happy to report that my experience here has been overwhelmingly positive. - Everyone is friendly and professional, and I genuinely enjoy coming to work every day. There's no corporate politics, no office drama - just a bunch of good people working together to make things happen. To me that's the textbook definition of a good company culture. - The compensation is competitive, the benefits are good, paychecks show up on time, and any issues with them are sorted out quickly. As an added bonus, there are some nice office perks, including bagels, donuts and other perhaps-not-so-healthy-but-oh-so-delicious snacks, and a proper espresso machine with a never-ending supply of quality coffee. And I take my coffee VERY seriously. Honestly, I'm struggling to think of anything else I could ask for from an employer. Handwrytten has been a great place to work so far, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Cons

The only thing some might view as a downside is that Handwrytten is a smaller company. It's not a con for me personally, as I enjoy working in a company where I know everyone. However, it's important to understand that in a smaller company, there might be fewer opportunities for career advancement. In my case, the 'chain of command' is quite short: it's me, my manager, and the CEO. So maybe don't expect a clearly defined path for career growth. That said, the company is growing, so who knows what the future might bring.
