Great place to work, career potential. Few issues.
Pros
Great benefits, generally happy employees and management. Big, corporation with a small family feel. They try to be very green and positive. HR is great, no issues with pay checks or receiving benefits. Customer service is superb.
Cons
CEO can be super cold. Worked there for a year and she never spoke to me; just walked past my desk. Was very surprised she never pulled a Miranda Priestly and dropped her coat and purse on someone's desk. Salary is surprisingly low for success of the company (lowest salary I've ever had in this field but I worked here for the flexibility). Too many unnecessary meetings. Attitude can be an issue. Ideas bump around left and right with little execution and way too much oil burned. Lack of communication between departments i.e. Products will be released and you'll have no clue about it till you seem them at Target. General loss of respect for small companies who carry the products and the organic community as a whole. People can be cutthroat and vindictive. Office feels like a sorority sometimes. Lots of attitude and rank pulling. Not a lot of opportunities for advancement. If you're low on the totem pole, certain people will make sure you know it. Marketing department is 80% snobs. Financial department is friendly as can be. Art department is nice for the most part; they just keep to themselves. Support staff is super! Most of the company needs a mood stabilizer, especially the CEO. If her panties are in a bunch about something everyone Drops bricks until she's done with her mood.
