      Pros

      Great environment. Great people, passion for customers, strong commitment to community and overall a great culture (The Harden Way). Work/life integration based on community service and customer relationships. Nice office buildings - about to finish renovation of office in Amelia Island and upgrade in Jacksonville. Company invests a lot in IT systems and general training and development. Look at how many employees have been here one decade, two decades, three decades, and a few going on four decades. Many became shareholders.

      Cons

      IT training needs to improve to keep up with all the systems - probably average for insurance industry.

      Pros

      Professional atmosphere, training and development opportunities, respect of associate's time when not at work.

      Cons

      Organization rigidity, slow to adopt and implement new ways of doing things, culture is highly structured with top-down approach - "my way or the highway". Depends who you work for as to how much autonomy you have in your job, most are strictly managed.

      Unrealistic turnarounds, inadequate training, little to no consideration to their employees, extremely high workload, little appreciation to their employees, management needs major improvements

We purposely seek high performers that are driven to succeed and specialize in the industry. In addition, we constantly strive to improve our environment to include work life balance, associate recognition and leadership development. We recognize that at times those are a work in progress. Our focus and diligence in these areas have forged great strides and been positively impactful to our workforce.
