Pros

Promote from within the company even if you aren't qualified for the position. Experience in mulitple areas of medical equipment manufacturing. ISO and FDA

Cons

Management is a joke. Grown men and women acting like children on a daily basis. A professional and understanding culture is promoted but tends to fall short of both. The reality is that it's drama filled and constantly cut throat. They promote work and life balance but employees work 6-7 days a week and are scrutinized when they request time off or take a sick day. The ESOP and profit sharing is the reasoning to be well underpaid compared to the job market. The 2 raises a year that they sell will make out to be $0.25-$0.50 depending on how the owner of the company feels that day. Raises aren't based on anything and the president is the only one to make the raise amount, even though he doesnt know you or what you have done. As for promotions, if you dont go to church with the owner or brown nose, forget it. But if you do and you have no experience in the field, no worries, you got the job. Even if it wasn't posted. Favoritism and nepotism is real prevalent throughout. Its sickening and very unprofessional.

Pros

It is a good place to start your career, if you are interested in med tech industry. Lots of work to be done, so you get a lot of experience in various areas quickly.

Cons

The cons of the company heavily outweigh the benefit of experience... Founder of the company is still the President, and even though it is now an 'employee owned' company, it is 100% still the Presidents baby in every way... extremely poor pay for the area and industry, and profit sharing and ESOP are dangled in front of you to try to justify poor pay and other benefits. Next to no vacation time (5 days for first year, 10 days after that). Upper management all brown nose the President to try to get want they want, which creates a very selfish and self-centered environment. The 'lower level' coworkers and managers are great to work with, however they will be blamed by upper management if things don't go as their department head wants them to go. Creates a toxic and hostile work environment, and instead of people working through conflict, they will go complain to the President. President plays favorites, which is detrimental to the growth of the company. They will tell you that you are all a part of the Hardy team, but in reality nothing good comes your way unless the President thinks of you as one of his favorites. I would never recommend this company to a friend, or even to an enemy.

Pros

There are very few... if any. It really just depends on who your manager is.

Cons

There is no room for growth and it's a company that is run based on favoritism. You will be led to believe that ESOP constitues low pay. Profit sharing isn't what it's made out to be. If you look at other ESOP companies, they are making ours look like a joke. There is a lack of culture, leadership, growth, opportunity and respect. I advise people to look elsewhere, because you will find a lack of appreciation and recognition. Like Richard Branson said "Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take caer of the clients." That's not the case here. I hope this review helps with your decision.
