Pros

There are no pros. There is nothing positive about this company or the people that work here whatsoever. You are defiled, degraded, and lose all self worth.

Cons

Working at Harris Media felt like Auschwitz. If Harris Media and I were stuck on an island, and working there was my only option to survive. I would gladly kill myself.

Pros

It taught me what a bad work environment looks like.

Cons

I uprooted my life to move for this job. Was told by hiring staff what a great opportunity it would be. Arrived my first day and they forgot I was starting that day. Let's say it went downhill from there: - No training whatsoever. I basically had to rely on advice from the person sitting at the folding table next to me. - Vincent assigned 4+ major political campaigns per person. The company values quantity over quality every time and work product suffers for it. - Averaged 75+ hours in the office a week at $32K a year with no health benefits. - Extremely poor leadership and a CEO that assumes (to this day) he's a great infallible leader. - When I left for a better opportunity, CEO lectured me from a reclined position on the couch in his office, (exactly like in his twitter profile) and told me I was being "immature" and would never work in politics again. I still work in politics and have a great career, but I can't say I owe any of it to this place.

Pros

You will become great friends with the people you work with. Still friends with many of the folks who work here and love them.

Cons

Looking back, I am ashamed of myself for not leaving sooner. There is a certain appeal to working at Harris Media at first. You'll learn a few new skills, enter politics, add something to your resume, etc. If you are considering applying, please look elsewhere. Once leadership finds that you are competent your work ethic will be abused. You will be bombarded with text messages, emails, phone calls, and even snapchats at all hours of the day and the weekends. Essentially, you will be on call at all given times. The "vacation" that you are given is not vacation. You will work every time you take PTO. You will not be paid well. You will not be given respect or appreciation for the work that you get done. The worst part of the job is that you are just set up for failure every day. Everyone is stretched so thin across their 8 or 10 clients that you forced to simply put out fires and move on to the next crisis. Leadership is not helpful either. In fact, one of them is well known for breaking down his employees into tears on a regular basis. The place lacks a certain level of basic integrity and honor. Sensing your frustration, they might give you a small bonus, pay bump (which they will always forget to put on your next paycheck and force you to remind them over and over again to receive the money you earned), or they'll build a dog park or buy a crappy bench press. Don't be fooled by these temporary solutions. Every day was like my head was being shoved through a mental meat grinder. You will lose much of your personal life and even some health working for this company. I straight up got fat because I didn't have time to cook or workout because I was working so late everyday. For those of you still working art Harris Media, I hope that you find new work soon. Go find a job that you love that pays you what you deserve. Go get paid and be a happier person.
