Pros
Good environment to work in. Nice people to work with. Good job for 28 years.
Cons
Management changes starting in my 28th year. Last year and a half of job writers no longer had the authority to directly contact government/commercial engineers/project managers to get answers to technical questions. All questions had to be sent to the company "portal" person to be forwarded to the appropriate people. Answers then were sent back to the portal and forwarded to the writer. Inability to have real time discussions with those people who could explain the answers became a very frustrating portion of the writing job.
