I recommend anyone to pay close attention to the turnover rate. It’s about a 80% churn every year for the past 5+. The current Executive Director is terrible, both at her job and as a person in general. She lacks not only base competencies, but she has zero life experience that would qualify her for such a large role. During my time there, she has taken illegal actions against employees, such as withholding last pay checks, and makes micro aggressions toward the few employees they have from protected classes, for instance, speaking about them as if they’re unfit to serve in their positions to others. It’s both unprofessional and shows a lack of quality character. But I guess you can’t expect much from a person over 30 who still leeches of her parents. There is no accountability in leadership. The board is largely disengaged and the ED takes off work constantly without even notifying her team, but yet expects a lighter level of workmanship and accountability from the people that work for the Org. There is no working budget, because the ED is not suited for understanding math, and frankly, I would worry about having a job in another six months, because everything is such a mess. Seems there is also a history of legal trouble, and the public perception isn’t that great. They claim excellent benefits, but don’t offer dental or vision insurance. They also claim a flexible schedule but because of the incompetence, don’t expect it to be real. It’s a real bait and switch of a job.

The work environment is AWFUL! The executive director is ignorant and was hired with no experience or leadership skills what so ever and is just an all around terrible person who seems to enjoy making everyone around her miserable. There used to be flexible schedules and a focus on work/life balance but not anymore. There is no trust for the staff team and they are treated like children. The governing board doesn’t care about the issues and works hard to sweep problems under the rug. Very sad to watch this place turn into what it has become especially since it used to be such a respectable organization. 5 people resigned within a few weeks of each other recently because of the horrible conditions.
