Pros

1. Interesting Work The role occasionally offered engaging and interesting tasks, which provided variety and kept me intellectually stimulated. 2. Patient Interaction Interacting with patients was a particularly rewarding part of the job. The satisfaction of helping people and making a tangible impact on their lives was a highlight. 3. Flexibility I appreciated the flexibility offered by the ability to work from home, which made managing certain aspects of work-life balance easier.

Cons

1. Compensation vs. Role Demands While I appreciate the opportunity to develop professionally, I feel the compensation does not adequately reflect the intensity and stress associated with the role. In comparison, my previous and current employers offer similar pay but with more realistic targets, less pressure and a smaller case load. This role felt like a fast-track to burnout. 2. Workload and Targets The targets were difficult to meet within standard working hours. Consistently working an additional 5–10 hours per week became necessary to achieve the expected results. This impacted my ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 3. Workplace Culture I believe the workplace culture has room for improvement. While I personally did not experience issues, I am aware of instances of workplace bullying. Additionally, management practices could benefit from fostering a more supportive and positive environment.

Pros

There are no positives to working for this company

Cons

Management turn a blind eye to work place bullying (by the team leader) and employees suffering as it makes their life easier to pretend it’s not happening. The team leader who I had to deal with on a daily basis was constantly patronising and undermining for not just me but other members of the team, it created a hostile work environment where you didn’t know what to expect from one day to the next. Expect your mental health to decline and receive 0 support from your team leader or upper management, your expected to get on with it and if you do decide to take any time off expect to be punished with being ignored and given little to no support to help on your return. If you decide to work for this company expect to finish everyday feeling like you haven’t done enough and can do better, the amount of pressure that’s put on you on daily basis for the salary they pay you is beyond comprehension. It the time I worked for this company I’ve seen several people come and go in such a short period of time and the fact that every member of the team was in training should be a reflection that they do not look after employees and are unable to keep staff long term. Avoid working for this company at all costs, nothing will change until upper management recognise what is happening and also how employees that they supposedly care for are being talked too and treated on a daily basis. For a company that takes pride in arranging treatment for people and thrives on getting clients into treatment and out they should look closer to home and try and look after the employees they have before they end up with none.

We are sorry to hear about your experience working for HCML, especially in regards to accusations of bullying and a lack of support from management. You are listed as a former employee – how recently did you leave the company? If these are recent issues we are of course keen to address them and make any necessary changes. Would you consider contacting me for an exit interview to discuss your concerns in more detail?”
