Pros

Remote working, and no real pressure to go back into the office

Cons

The new management team put in by Blackstone has been dismantling the company and it’s culture. There is no support from the leadership team. They choose to pretend all of their decisions are working instead of acknowledging and correcting mistakes. It’s turned into a very top down bully-friendly company. People are leaving in flocks and management doesn’t care. They will just force the next guy to take on all the additional work.

Pros

if you can work on any product for an year, you will get good domain knoweldge

Cons

This company is riddled with nepotism and politics. The biggest blocker for this company from growing and has been (as I have heard) are the folks who have been here the longest. They just resist any change, innovation and learning. This company has great potential but its a lack of smart dedicated folks that is holding it back. Older products have not been re-innovated in years. Competition will have no problem blowing us out of the water if this continues. I still have not understood some folks who here who have been here very long time and have no sense of urgency and drive to get to the next level. Instead they play politics to hold ideas back. Its almost they all want to stay in a rut yet aspire for an entitlement of being there, taking their salary and do nothing to show for it. We hire folks but they are all in professional services. That was my first hint that this is not a product company which they boast to be, but a buy our crappy product and then give us support dollars kinda company. They can easily reform it by giving bye bye money to old timers who are not doing much. The 401k plan is a joke and is an example how things are stacked against newcomers who may be thinking of making a career here. The CEO may have been an industry veteran but now just come in people's critical paths. If things don't change in next 6 months, this will loose its ability to compete in the market. So be careful when joining. Sales and marketing is really tough here with given state of the products.
