Work from home, coworkers are friendly...... Thats about it

Cons

No training provided, pay is horrible, 6 paid holidays shows the lack of appreciation for employees I was really excited to start but that quickly faded once I started. There is absolutely no training so they pretty much set you up to fail. They partner you with a coworker that doesn't even bill the same payer so that person has no idea what the processes and edits are or how they should be worked. When asked about payer and facility specific training I was told to research it on Google. The lack of training is so discouraging. I started looking for a new job my first week

Pros

They know how to have fun activities that they tend to sprinkle throughout the month. Popcorn days on Fridays and special events for holidays. Decent wages which enticed me to start working there. Great benefits for employee only. Family benefits are quite expensive.

Cons

Very little training. You better come in knowing exactly how to bill every kind of insurance as you will get very little help. Management is kind when you are new or are an over achiever (or are a major kiss up) but not so much if you ask for help too often or are not in their social circles. If you have any problem with anyone in an upper position, you can kiss yourself goodbye. I have experience a lot of retaliation for trying to solve a personal conflict in the correct way.

Pros

Great culture and "employee owned". The feel there is one of "family". Corporate "cares" about it's people. Fabulous benefits available. Competitive pay.

Cons

The upper management is very REACTIVE. They are not prepared for slight downturns and are not forward seeing for upturns. Got into the proverbial "overly zealous hiring" and then had to suffer the "major lay off" woes.
