Pros

Staff food is cheap Payed well Intricate training Discounts on food for yourself and family Great training material Some friendly staff but management team leaves a bit to be desired Overtime pay!

Cons

If you’re on an evening shift, you don’t get staff food. You’re kept until the bar is shut so even if your shift finishes at 11:30pm you can still work until 1am. Bad at organising staff at least where I work. Keep leaving one floor staff to close down the whole restaurant. No breaks! Idk about the floor but we don’t get breaks. Maybe you’ll get lucky and you’ll get a smoke break but even then it’s like pulling teeth. They train us in mental health, making sure everyone gets a 20mins break. Nope. Nada.

Pros

Good processes, but few follow them. Top notch food

Cons

Favouritism plays a huge part in opportunities. Hospitality takes second place to bean counters, creating a short-term focus. Evident age discrimination.
