Pros
- Good PTO (major holidays, 10 days vacation, sick leave) - Able to step out during the day for doctor's appointments, childcare, etc - Good raise every year - Yearly company retreat - Fair pay - Plenty of autonomy during daily tasks
Cons
- No benefits (no healthcare, no retirement) - Tons of overtime with no overtime pay - Even when off the clock, expected to be reachable - Unforgiving project deadlines - Difficult management - No job security (layoffs were often shocking and sudden)
