I’m grateful to have learned from something I no longer want
Pros
Uncapped commission is the biggest upside to this job. It is extremely appealing especially considering their biggest earners are making 6 figures consistently. There is also a huge pay jump from ISR to OSR bringing it up to 50k company wide. You can consistently earn a base and then add commission to it but you have to be willing to wait out those first few months before you really start earning it
Cons
- Work/life balance. So, yes it is a 7:30-5 on paper. The problem is that they expect calls and calls alone to occur from 8-5. 7:30-8 is a meeting… and 5-5:30 is that exact same meeting… again. So all of the paperwork you are expected to keep up with, is expected to be done outside of the call hours. 7:30-5 very quickly becomes 7-7 and sometimes 8 depending on how much commission you really want the chance at. - Favoritism. The ceo, and the management team most certainly has their favorites. You have to interview to be promoted, but let’s be honest. We know what’s happening before we even step in the room - Pay. The commission is great, but how the heck do you expect anyone to live in downtown Louisville, Nashville, or Atlanta on a 38k base. Expect to eat noodles your first few months - Sexual harassment. I went to college to get an education and be presentable in the world. I came here and walked back into middle school with a management team that has the tongue of a homosexual ape. Of all the reasons I left, this is the biggest - Changes in management. They cannot decide how to run the company. The CEO is the only person to have held the same official title in the 10 months I spent here. Title, income, potential for growth… all change at least once a month. The only thing that doesn’t… the base line pay for entry level employees. Please. Raise. It.
