The culture is supportive and collaborative, and leadership is approachable and values staff input. From a financial and operational standpoint, the organization is well-managed and committed to doing things the right way. People are encouraged to grow, and the work feels meaningful.

Cons

Growth and change are steady and intentional rather than fast-paced.

Pros

The culture is mission oriented and family focused. Integrity, faith, and professional and personal development are highly valued. Serving children and families is a privilege and most days does not feel like work. Employees enjoy ample support from all departments, department heads, administration, and the Board of Trustees. The Hendrick Home Board of Trustees is exemplary in their dedication to The Home and its mission, the employees, and especially to the children and families served. Hendrick Home's benefits and compensation are competitive. Quality is of utmost importance at Hendrick Home: from the programs to the staff to the facilities, Hendrick Home is top notch.

Cons

There are no cons; social services can be a difficult industry to work in. However, working at Hendrick Home creates a safe, supportive, and fun environment for work that can otherwise feel difficult.

Pros

Working at Hendrick Home for Children has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The organization’s mission isn’t just words on paper—it’s lived out every single day by the leadership, staff, and volunteers. You can truly feel the heart behind everything they do to serve children and families in need. The work environment is supportive, uplifting, and purpose-driven. Leadership genuinely cares about the people who work here, both professionally and personally. There’s a strong sense of teamwork and shared values, and everyone is encouraged to use their strengths to make a difference. It’s rare to find a workplace that combines compassion, excellence, and integrity the way Hendrick Home does. Every day, you leave knowing your work matters—and that’s an incredible feeling. If you’re looking for a career where you can grow, feel valued, and make an impact, Hendrick Home for Children is truly one of the best places to be!
