Pros
Good fire department , hiring process is very quick and streamlined. Excellent training for new recruits . You can have a solid career if you apply yourself. Paramedic school is payed for if you wish to attend.
Cons
Still has a bit of a good old boys system in place promotions aren't simply decided by who is best for the job but whether who in upper management likes you. If you want to take ime off to take additional classes and training to better yourself as a first responder it will come out of your own holiday and vacation hours.
