Pros

Decent compensation, Great Products, Lots of product promotion, Gordon Ramsay participation has been a big lift. Flexibility for scheduling and lots of free time every month. Sales managers are generally respectful and pleasant to deal with.

Cons

Saturated in major markets due to back to back road shows means less income potential. Very long hours. Constantly making it harder to sell products by offering better sale prices online while making the difference between commercial (sold at Costco) and residential line (sold online) almost nil. Poor communication regarding things that would help us sell and frequently dodge responding to important product questions. We don't find out about new products until they have been announced to the public and then we aren't given any info on them because they aren't sold at Costco. Healthcare benefits stink.

Pros

Good Pay, good benefits, and travel where you accumulate points from airlines and hotels that you can use on your off time.

Cons

Over worked. Constant triples working in Costco leaving no time to be at home to be with family. Horrible management that does not listen to employees or care about your personal life. We are told we are full time and cannot take time off work. If we ask for time off we are told we will miss 3 rotations and then miss out on good shows because they don’t want us to have any time off. Roadshow director plays favorites and has several employees that get to choose their shows and even after getting in trouble will be rewarded with a top tier show. The roadshow director only requires those who are not his favorites to follow the HexClad standards while working. The Roadshow Director also does not allow the regional managers to have any authority or do the scheduling for their regions as to retain the ability to play favorites. The management will claim that distance to a show location matters only when they are taking care of their favorite employees. Management will also lie directly to you and tell you that a terrible store is a A+ location just to get you to go there and lie about the store numbers knowing it’s a C- store or worse. HexClad also over saturates the stores we do in Costco and kills any urgency for buyers and also undermines the sales force by constantly putting the same deals on Costco.com and then doing sales on HexClad.com that at times are better than the prices in Costco. This makes the sales force lose a lot of commission. The over saturation of doing the same Costco location every 6-8 weeks only brings down the money that could be made and ultimately hurts the income of the sales rep. If you reach out to the Director or the regional managers for help or to ask a question the response is usually hostile and we are told to just figure it out.
