      Pros

      Global company, good technology, profitable business, meet salary expectations

      Cons

      In Australia there is a Boys Club culture at management level & bullying & harassment by top management is allowed with no action taken by Human Resource Department. There is no active recruitment or promotion of females to management positions in Australia. At least 8 people who have held Management Positions have had their employment terminated in the last 3 years.

      Pros

      Technically interesting place. Getting harder to find this sort of chemical process industry work in Victoria Australia these days

      Cons

      Satellite of global operation been turned into a fiefdom. Company values paid lip service. The real culture and rules are set by local VP who reacts only to "the optics" for him managing expectations upwards rather than contributions / results of team. High staff churn. Local HR acquiescent to VP so cannot be appealed to.

      Local teams more bonded to each other than to company, people will work with each other because of that bond and friendship rather than for Company

      Cons

      The most senior managers don't listen well enough and are quick to judge based on perception and impressions (often from favored teacher's pets). Repercussions of such snap judgements hurt individuals hard plus create a culture of fear. This is easily seen by the distracting, wasteful and disingenuous "make it look good behaviors" by staff in the weeks leading up to any VIP leader visit at any Hexion site or office !
