Pros

-Good working environment -Hillcrest treats their residents like family -wonderful cafeteria and food with a great staff in dining - great nursing staff and facility

Cons

Pay is low compared to other facilities, but they do have good insurance (dental, eye, medical is eh, etc) -Difficult to communicate with Human Resources I can rarely catch them in office or through phone when necessary which is a vital part of a working company/ facility. -lots of areas in Hillcrest need better staffing but they hire the minimum amount required

Pros

Enjoyed meeting new people and growing a bond with the residents

Cons

Horrible staff and supervisors. nurses don't really care much about the residents and supervisors only cared about the paperwork being done rather than the residents getting the care they needed.

Pros

The senior staff really takes pride in making sure everything is done to absolute perfection. There are always safety drills going on so we knew what to do in case of an emergency.

Cons

A lot of the people on the staffing team aren't very good at working together. It's sort of like a sink or swim kind of environment. If you don't understand something or need a little extra training they look at you like you're crazy. Even though you're supposed to use two people to help a resident stand using the sit and stand that rarely happens cause no one will come help; the same thing for the Hoyer lift. Most of the time we couldn't find a usable Hoyer lift or a sit and stand.
